· Pure amla powder – 350 gm
· Water – 4 litres
Preparation:
1. Take a wide-mouthed vessel and pour 4 litres of water into it.
2. Now add 250 grams of amla powder to it and mix well.
3. Let it boil on simmer.
4. Turn off the flame when the amla water reduces to 1 litre.
5. Now, strain it and keep it aside.
6. Again, take 100 grams of amla powder and add little water to make it a paste.
7. Take 500 ml of coconut oil (preferably cold pressed) in another wide-mouthed vessel.
8. Add the amla paste and 1 litre amla water (which is boiled earlier) to the coconut oil.
9. Now, let it boil on low flame until the whole water gets evaporated.
10. Filter when it is hot, using a clean cloth.
11. Store it in a clean and tightly sealed bottle.
Note: To know if the entire water got evaporated, take a spoon of oil which is boiling and put it on the fire. If it doesn’t make a cracking sound and stays calm, it is a sign that there is no water remained.
